Hydro Electric ProductionHydro electrical production can be a relatively economical way to produce electrical energy. However, it is rare indeed that a home site has access to a river or stream of sufficient flow rate on a year around basis to produce reliable electrical production. However, if you have a modest flow rate that produces relatively low hourly energy, it can be very meaningful because it is producing it 24 hours per day and that energy can be stored in batteries and, with the use of an inverter, can produce continuous line power and peak energy requirements even if you do not have water rights to the stream or river. Usage of the water can normally be negotiated as you are not actually consuming the water. |
